OK.

So after giving myself some time to calm down and think about the situation like a RATIONAL human being, this is what i've come up with.

When I talk to him today, i'll just tell him the truth- that i'm not looking to date anyone right now, my life is really busy, i'm only here for another two weeks, i just don't have time. I'm really flattered by the offer, he seems like a great guy, but again, i'm just not interested in even the THOUGHT of dating right now. Then i'll tell him that i know he already started making plans for sunday, so if he still wanted to hang out, i'm up for it because i gave my word that i would go and i don't like taking that back from people.

blahh as i was typing this, i got a bit of advice from James. I'm thinking maybe i should just cancel the whole thing. It should be fine. yeah, that's what i'll do (stay tuned for what'll really happen in tonight's entry).

James: just cancel
James: theres nothing wrong with canceling
hamakosan: yeah there is.. it's not cool.. you know? i mean i said i would, so i should
James: if you feel uncomfortable, you shouldn�t. why upset yourself
hamakosan: because i already said i would.. and i'm sure he's already started to make plans, and all that.. so yeah i'll just tell him to keep it short cuz i have stuff to do sunday night
James: just tell him youre not interested
hamakosan: hey, maybe after i tell him all that he won't wanna go out anyway, but yeah if he still does, i'm not gonan cancel.. it's just not right, i don't think
James: i doubt it, because guys have this thing that they can change a woman's mind
James: but if you feel like you should thats very nice of you
hamakosan: hmm
hamakosan: so you think he'd get the wrong idea if i still went out with him?
James: he probably will if you tell him that youre not ready
James: you are going to confuse him
hamakosan: blahh what's there to confuse?? grrr
hamakosan: so i need to just be a bad person and cancel, huh
James: theres alot to confuse because if you tell him youre not interested in him and not ready to date but still go out with him on a date that will give him mix signals
hamakosan: that's true
hamakosan: dammit you're right
James: tell how you feel and tell that if he wants to hang out no date is cool
James: and pay your own way
James: a mature guy will understand and cancel
hamakosan: yeah that's what i was thinking.. that it would just be hanging out
hamakosan: and of course i'd pay for myself
hamakosan: that's some pretty good advice you just gave me
